Lulu and Abdul had a beautiful wedding in August, but they also wanted portraits that highlighted their traditional Middle Eastern dress. They searched for an Albany wedding photographer who could recreate their vision. After sharing some inspiration photos with me, we worked together to set the vibe and choose locations that would bring their vision to life.

We began the session at the New York State Capitol building in Downtown Albany, known for its gorgeous staircases and castle-like architecture. From there, we finished in Washington Park to capture a more natural, romantic setting surrounded by greenery.

When I arrived at the Capitol ahead of our session, I realized that East Capitol Park – the exact spot we had planned to use – was under construction and completely gated off. Luckily, I had a backup plan ready. I let Lulu and Abdul know, and we shifted to the South side of the building, where the stunning arches gave us a perfect backdrop. We also took advantage of the grand stairs and columns at the Education Building across the street.

These two were an absolute dream to photograph. They trusted my vision completely, and together we created portraits that celebrate both their love story and their culture.

As an Albany wedding photographer, I love celebrating every culture, tradition, and lifestyle. Whether you’re wearing traditional attire, a modern gown, or something in between, my goal is to capture the beauty and individuality of everyone who steps in front of my lens.
